1. appoint vt. 任命;委派
appoint sb as / to be… 任命某人为…

2. suit n. 一套外衣;套装

辨析suit / match / fit:
1 suit多指合乎需要、口味、性格、条件、地位、场合等。

Having collected and evaluated…是现在分词的完成式在句中作状语,表明从句动作发生在主句动作之前。
1 作状语的分词所表示的动作,可以表示时间、原因、方式、伴随或结果等,通常用逗号与句子隔开。其逻辑主语通常要与句子的主语保持一致,即句子的主语就是动词-ing的动作执行者。与句子主语之间存在着主动关系是决定现在分词的一个重要尺度。
2 过去分词作状语同现在分词作状语一样,其逻辑上的主语就是主句的主语,但不同的是,过去分词与主语之间存在被动关系,但有时无被动意味,只是表示一种状态或动作的完成。
eg: Admitting what she said, I still think she hasn’t tried her best.
Having answered the teacher’s questions, she sat down and felt much more relaxed.
Not having received a reply, he decided to write again.

2 独立主格结构可分为两部分:一部分是名词或代词(主格),起着逻辑主语的作用;另一部分有形容词、副词、名词、分词、不定式、介词短语等构成,表示前面名词或代词的状态、状况或动作。
